This position requires extensive travel (90% overnight, Monday-Friday).
We are seeking a
Lead DAS Installation Technician
to manage the field deployment of in-building wireless systems. This is a hands-on leadership role involving the installation, testing, and commissioning of DAS (ERCES), LTE overlays, and Wi-Fi networks. The position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work independently while guiding crews and subcontractors on-site.
The DAS Installation Lead is responsible for ensuring successful installation and compliance of wireless communication systems for mission-critical environments such as schools, hospitals, and public facilities. This role requires expertise in interpreting engineered drawings, supervising field teams, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Direct and participate in daily installation of DAS, ERCES, LTE, and Wi-Fi systems Oversee subcontractors and technicians performing cable runs, grounding, antenna placement, terminations, and rack assembly Validate completed work against design drawings, risers, and code requirements Monitor job sites to maintain OSHA compliance and enforce safe work practices Coordinate with project managers and commissioning engineers on system readiness and turn-up Perform testing and troubleshooting with tools such as PCTEL SeeHawk, iBwave Prism, Anritsu, and Fluke Mentor junior installers and subcontractors on installation techniques and code compliance Prepare and submit field documentation including daily logs, redlines, and closeout packages Serve as point of contact with clients, AHJs, and site contractors during project execution Report material, scheduling, or safety concerns promptly to management Requirements Required Qualifications
At least 3 years' experience installing DAS, Public Safety BDA, LTE, or low-voltage communication systems FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (must obtain within 180 days if not currently held) NICET Level I certification required (Level II preferred) iBwave Level 1 certification required (Level 2 preferred) Proficiency with SeeHawk/iBwave Prism or similar testing tools OSHA 10 certification required (OSHA 30 preferred) Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred Ability to interpret construction drawings, iBwave design files, and permitting documents Familiarity working in sensitive or secure environments (schools, hospitals, government facilities) Preferred Skills Training with OEMs such as ADRF, Comba, or JMA Knowledge of fire alarm system integration and Class A/B code requirements Experience with alarm verification, signal optimization, and post-installation testing Strong communication and leadership skills in high-pressure environments
Travel & Physical Requirements Regional travel required across FL, NC, AL, MS Overnight travel required weekly (up to 90%) Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and perform physical installation tasks including bending, crawling, and climbing ladders Clean driving record and background check required Must pass pre-employment drug screening Compliance Standards

NFPA 1225 (Emergency Services Communications) NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code) IFC 510 (Emergency Responder Radio Coverage) Local AHJ interpretations of ERCES/ERRCS codes Benefits
