Job Description Target Pay Rate:
45-53.45/hr
salary will be commensurate with experience
Seeking a motivated individual to work as a senior bioanalytical bench scientist within its Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) bioanalytical laboratory.
This is a bioanalytical senior scientist position with primary duties in performing laboratory work, preparing reports, and interacting with internal and external partners. The position is based in Rahway, New Jersey, and is part of the Bioanalytical group, Global Preclinical Development.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Independently developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LBA methods to support projects, including writing bioanalytical methods.
Assumption of project responsibility in delegated bioanalytical aspects.
Proficiently implementing ligand binding assays (LBA) for biological samples in a GLP environment, including sample preparation, instrument setup, data processing, and interpretation.
Establishing LBA capability within the team, including equipment procurement and workflow setup.
Ensuring documentation is accurate, real-time, and compliant with GLP and departmental guidelines.
Preparing reports and validation documents independently for regulatory submissions.
Maintaining training and compliance with SOPs, safety, and guidelines.
Working independently to meet goals and timelines, with minimal supervision.
Interacting with partners across functions, such as Drug Safety, Quality Assurance, and program management.
Performing additional bioanalytical assignments as directed.
Multi-tasking and teamwork.
Qualifications: Minimum Educational Requirement:
Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with 3+ years of industrial experience, or
Master’s in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with at least 7 years of industrial experience, preferably in bioanalytical labs.
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience developing, validating, and implementing ligand binding assays under GLP.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Watson or other LIMS systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Motivated individual eager to learn and develop.
Experience with LC-MS/MS assays.
Note: Ability to travel between Rahway, NJ, and West Point, PA, sites up to 50% as needed.
