Overview
The University of Mount Saint Vincent invites applications for the role of Director of Undergraduate Admission. The Director leads and manages the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students, as well as select specialty and graduate programs at the University. Reporting to the Senior Director for Admission and the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment and Retention, this role oversees a dedicated undergraduate admissions team, designs and implements a comprehensive recruitment strategy, and ensures the strategic use of Technolutions Slate to drive data-informed decisions and deliver personalized engagement.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Hire, train, supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of the undergraduate admissions team
Foster a collaborative, mission-aligned, and goal-oriented team culture
Provide regular performance feedback and conduct annual evaluations
Strategic Recruitment Planning
Work with the Senior Director of Admission to design and implement an annual comprehensive undergraduate recruitment strategy aligned with institutional goals
Analyze enrollment trends and market data to inform territory management, outreach, and yield strategies
In collaboration with the Senior Director for Admission, work with marketing and communications to develop compelling recruitment materials and campaigns
Present an annual after-action report on recruitment territories and enrollment
Operations & Technology
Oversee the daily operations of the Office of Undergraduate Admission, including but not limited to: communication plans (digital and print), application and data review, processing, audit and quality control inventory, coordination of logistics and supplies
Develop and maintain training manuals for Banner procedures, Slate, and overall Admission SOPs
Serve as the Slate captain for the undergraduate admissions team, ensuring optimal use of the CRM for communication, reporting, and workflow automation
Maintain data integrity and leverage Slate analytics to monitor progress toward enrollment goals
Campus & Community Engagement
Work closely with vendor partners to achieve department goals
Represent the college at internal and external events, including high school visits, college fairs, and community programs
Collaborate with faculty, staff, athletics, alumni, and current students to enhance the prospective student experience
Uphold and promote the college's Catholic identity and liberal arts mission in all recruitment efforts
Other duties
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to one or two recruitment territories or programs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in undergraduate admissions, including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.
Proven proficiency in Technolutions Slate, with skills in query building, report generation, and process management.
Experience with Ellucian Banner.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations and supporting the mission and values of Catholic higher education
Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000
