Overview
The Art of Yoga Project has an opening for a part-time
Administrative Assistant
to help manage our day-to-day operations. This includes overseeing administrative tasks, providing support to the team, and fostering a positive and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and is dedicated to supporting our mission. Main responsibilities include office management, program tracking, event support, donor and database management and administrative support to the Executive Director.
Schedule This is a 16-20 hour per week position, Monday through Friday, 3-4 hours per day during daytime hours. There is some flexibility in scheduling. The job location is our office at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits – Redwood Shores, 330 Twin Dolphin Dr., Suite 131, Redwood City CA 94065.
Compensation Compensation:
S$25.00 per hour, plus a prorated paid time off.

Job Description Administrative Assistant
The Art of Yoga Project brings a rehabilitative program of yoga and expressive arts to system-involved youth.
Purpose To support day-to-day operation of a small non-profit organization.
Status Non-exempt position, 16-20 hours per week.
Essential Functions This position is responsible for providing general administrative support as needed, including but not limited to:
Prepare for Board of Directors meetings by distributing agendas, minutes, and other documents
Maintain organizational files and documents
Serve as first in person point of contact for the organization at our office
Manage donor and programs databases
Perform general administrative support
Assist with organizing and executing events, trainings and meetings throughout the year
Handle printing, signing, storing Employee Contracts
Assist with newsletters and internal communications
Coordinate website and social media updates
Receive, acknowledge, and track donor contributions
Assist with donor communications and stewardship, including appeal
Coordinate bulk mailings/emails
Attend in office and county meetings as needed on behalf of The Art of Yoga Project
Maintain organizational archives
Take on additional tasks as directed by the Executive Director or her deputy.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in business, communication, or a related field, or equivalent experience
1-3 years of experience in administrative support, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with database management systems like eTapestry, Constant Contact, Box
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing office needs
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges
Sitting for extended periods is common, with frequent use of a computer and keyboard
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
