Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a Research Associate III position within the Cell Line Development (CLD) team. This role involves creating recombinant CHO cell lines to support research and preclinical development programs within Sanofi. The successful candidate will work in a high-performing, fast-paced, and collaborative environment, contributing to the end-to-end development of recombinant CHO cell lines and the optimization of platforms for future CHO expression systems. This work will directly support the advancement of projects in Sanofi’s biologics pipeline. Key Responsibilities
Assist in generation of engineered mammalian cell lines (transfection pools, clones) expressing candidate biotherapeutics Assist in several studies simultaneously to optimize cell line generation processes Perform mammalian cell culture techniques including sterile technique, cell counting, passaging, and cryopreservation Perform basic molecular biology techniques including DNA plasmid preparation, PCR, and restriction enzyme digestion Demonstrate self-motivation with excellent attention to detail and superb organizational skills Work collaboratively and communicate across teams Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, with a willingness to expand and broaden skillset Prepare reports, presentations, and data sets to effectively communicate results, progress, and plans Apply strong technical background to support experimental goals Manage and present data effectively Contribute to lab organization, reagent tracking, and other laboratory support tasks Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations; perform work safely and maintain accurate records in accordance with SOPs and company policies Present data at regular lab meetings Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or an equivalent field (preferably with a focus in Cellular Biology research) Preferred Qualifications
Experience in suspension culture of CHO cell lines in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting Knowledge of techniques such as cell culture and molecular manipulations
