Fall 2026 (August 25, 2026) Position Summary
All teaching faculty shall: prepare and teach college-approved courses, develop syllabi and reading lists, maintain up-to-date courses, respond to diverse constituencies, perform divisional/departmental responsibilities in selecting texts and resources, and perform other teaching and related duties as outlined in the contract. Example of Job Duties
Teach 30 credit hours per academic year in the discipline area; evaluate and assess student learning; provide student support and advising; plan program-related events; assist with program reviews; develop curriculum; participate in professional development; teaching may be delivered in person, hybrid, or online. Recruit, advise, and retain students; select part-time instructors; schedule courses; hire and evaluate faculty; establish partnerships with local organizations; arrange internships; assess and improve the program; perform administrative functions as allowed by the contract. Attend convocations and commencements; serve on committees and task forces; participate in meetings, including evenings or weekends if required. Note: This posting includes qualifications, experience and skills but is not limited to the full duties and responsibilities stated within the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing or a related discipline; active RN licensure in Connecticut. Four (4) years of college teaching experience (96+ credits) OR two (2) years of college teaching experience (48+ credits) with four (4) or more years of full-time equivalent clinical nursing experience. Proven ability to work effectively with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; strong information technology literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office). Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching RN or LPN courses. Experience with curriculum development, program assessment and evaluation. Experience incorporating technology to enhance learning (e.g., Blackboard, online instruction). Starting Salary
Minimum salary: $75,362 per year, plus excellent state medical insurance, retirement, and related benefits. Salary based on qualifications, education, experience, and internal equity.
