Senior Operations Research Scientist

in the Tech Development and Analytics team at DEFCON AI. You will be at the forefront of driving the development and deployment of optimization, simulation, and data science models to production, working with a multidisciplinary group of researchers to address complex problems. Responsibilities As an Operations Research Scientist, you will contribute to advancing and deploying optimization, simulation, and data science models to production and collaborate with colleagues to push the boundaries of AI-enabled analytics for mobility, sustainment, and logistics operations. Requirements Experience formulating and solving optimization problems MS or PhD in mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, industrial engineering or related field Programming experience in Python and/or R, version control (Git), and database (SQL, MySQL) with common data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, NumPy) Knowledge and experience with statistics and data science At least 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems Active DoD Secret Clearance, or willingness to obtain clearance Willing to relocate to Omaha, NE (or already reside there). If relocating, Defcon will provide a comprehensive relocation package Bonus Points

Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques Basic data engineering skills (data cleaning, ETL pipelines, and/or database administration) Cloud-based development (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) TS/SCI Clearance What we offer
