Senior Operations Research Scientist

in the Tech Development and Analytics team at DEFCON AI. We’re currently looking for creative, smart, and humble teammates who want to join our group of world-renowned researchers as we push the boundaries applying AI to complex problems. As an Operations Research Scientist, you will be at the forefront of driving the development and deployment of our latest optimization, simulation, and data science models to production. If you\'re a forward-thinking, technically adept individual with a passion for mathematical modeling this role is for you. Requirements

Experience formulating and solving optimization problems MS or PhD in mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, industrial engineering or related field Programming experience in Python and/or R, version control (Git), and database (SQL, MySQL) and common data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, Numpy) Knowledge and experience with statistics and data science At least 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems Active DoD Secret Clearance, or willingness to obtain Clearance Willing to temporarily relocate to (or already reside in) Omaha, NE If relocating, Defcon will provide a comprehensive relocation package Bonus Points

Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques Basic data engineering skills (data cleaning, building ETL pipelines, and/or database administration) Cloud-based development (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) TS/SCI Clearance What we offer
