Overview
Director of Talent Acquisition & Retention at Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab – Washington, DC. We are looking for an Executive Chef candidate who will lead with hands-on culinary leadership, uphold Truluck’s standards, and support the culinary team in a high-volume, upscale environment. Compensation
Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Additional compensation: Annual Bonus Other benefits: 401(k) matching (After one year of employment), employee discount, paid time off (3 weeks/year) Responsibilities
Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities. Execute Truluck’s Menu at a high level; lead and teach recipe adherence. Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs. Supervise kitchen staff’s activities. Arrange equipment purchases and repairs. Recruit and manage kitchen staff. Rectify problems arising or complaints. Give prepared plates the “final touch.” Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Keep time and payroll records. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests. Qualifications
Proven working experience as an executive chef (10 years preferred) Excellent record of kitchen leadership Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently Capable of delegating multiple tasks Strong communication and leadership skills Keep up with cooking trends and best practices Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, R365, Aloha POS) Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or related certificate (preferred) Additional Information
