Project Manager – Port Authority Projects – Newark We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager with experience in public works or large-scale infrastructure, especially projects involving elevated guideways, stations, or transit systems developed in partnership with major agencies (e.g., Port Authority of NY & NJ). You’ll lead projects from preconstruction through handover—ensuring safety, schedule, budget, quality, and strategic collaboration with stakeholders.

Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Manage all project phases: preconstruction, planning, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, construction execution, stakeholder coordination, and closeout.

Serve as the primary liaison with agency partners (e.g., Port Authority), local authorities, and key project stakeholders—coordinating permitting, inspections, and compliance.

Oversee delivery of major infrastructure scopes such as elevated rail guideways, station facilities, maintenance/control centers, and pedestrian connectors.

Lead risk analysis, value engineering, tracking of change orders, cost control measures, and schedule adherence.

Supervise internal and external project teams, subcontractors, and specialty trade partners—ensuring execution aligned with technical and quality standards.

Provide progress reporting, cost forecasting, and contract management to senior leadership and agency partners, maintaining transparency and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

7+ years in construction project management with proven experience in public infrastructure, transit, or large-scale agency-driven projects.

Familiarity with Port Authority operational requirements, agency collaboration, and compliance.

Skilled in design-build and general contracting delivery models.

Strong command of budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and team leadership.

Excellent communication, negotiation, reporting, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; relevant certifications a plus.
