Senior Principal Engineer - Flight Test Lead at Raytheon leads the Patriot Flight Test execution team, managing test planning, execution, and reporting. This role requires active security clearance, extensive experience in hardware, software, and networking troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams to resolve complex defense system challenges. The position involves coordinating logistics, managing resources, and improving flight test processes while supporting the U.S. defense mission with up to 25% travel. The Raytheon Air Defense and Command & Control Department within Systems Integration & Test seeks a Flight Test Lead to support the Patriot program. You will collaborate across disciplines to identify sources of new and unexpected issues through troubleshooting and data analysis, and you will be expected to implement solutions with team partners. What You Will Do

Lead the Patriot Flight Test execution team through planning, execution, and reporting. Responsible for test planning and walkup – including test readiness assessments. Facilitate Mission Execution Lead and Technical Lead with successful execution of day-to-day pre-mission operations by providing appropriate resources and removing obstacles. Provide customer interface related to Patriot Flight Test activities. Balance cost, schedule, and staffing across various funding sources and events. Identify travel team members, coordinate required briefs / access / permissions, provide travel information, and manage travel logistics. Drive continuous improvement of flight test processes and content. Up to 25% travel required. Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Experience with test events (such as ground tests, flight tests, SICOs). Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Experience performing radar data analysis. Excellent communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers. Ability to develop and maintain test procedures.
