Overview
As a CNC Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding customer needs in an industrial environment by using innovative instruments, sophisticated computer systems and knowledge of programming and engineering. The Applications Engineer will be technically inclined and will run and process parts on CNC machine tools. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Duties
Conducting pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations and development of turnkey proposal Developing/ implementing custom demonstrations and training customers in the safe set up and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes and/ or multi-tasking machines Making accurate cost estimates, writing engineering reports, and interpreting plans and specifications Travel to customers for on site training and engineering assistance. Programming and setting up CNC lathes, CNC vertical or horizontal mills, and Swiss style lathes Qualifications
Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company 2+ Years of CNC Programming, Machinist, and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience required Knowledge of Okuma and Fanuc based controls Experience with CAD/CAM software Ability work onsite and travel regionally up to 60%
