Overview

Software Development Senior Manager (Vice President) - Full Stack - Hybrid at Citi. This senior-level role drives the development of high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications and spans the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, implementation, and testing based on user requirements. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Java and its ecosystems and can architect, deliver, and lead a team on mission-critical applications. As a Software Development Senior Manager, you will translate user requirements into technical specifications and lead a team through designing, implementing, and delivering Java/Python applications. You will collaborate with business users to design and implement both current and target state business processes using a variety of tools and technologies. Responsibilities

Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Resolve high-impact problems by evaluating complex business and system processes and industry standards Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure designs align with the overall architecture blueprint Establish standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation based on system flow Develop knowledge of how business areas (e.g., architecture and infrastructure) integrate to achieve goals Perform in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions Coach mid-level developers and analysts, and allocate work as needed Assess risk in business decisions, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, uphold Citi’s ethical standards, escalate and manage control issues with transparency Qualifications

6+ years of industry experience with hands-on development of mission-critical applications using Java technologies; experience leading teams and aligning projects with the firm’s objectives Experience with complex system integration projects Hands-on experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, J2EE design patterns, REST services Front-end technologies: JavaScript, Angular, HTML/CSS Strong SQL knowledge; JDBC; Unix commands Relational databases (Oracle/DB2) and NoSQL (MongoDB) experience Cloud deployment experience Experience with code testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber) Knowledge of deployment in Apache Tomcat, OpenShift or similar cloud environments is a plus Experience with Test Driven Development (JUnit, JMeter), Continuous Integration (Jenkins), Maven, Git; development tools (Eclipse, IntelliJ) Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work in a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently Experience collaborating with business analysts, DBAs, PMs, and architects across geographies Financial Services experience is a plus; understanding of Financial and Reporting Hierarchies beneficial Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Master’s degree preferred This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
