Overview
IT Partners is seeking a highly experienced expert in Navy ERP systems and DoD/DON financial system migrations to support the Department of the Navy's strategic initiative to sustain current ERP implementation and migrate to SAP S4/HANA. This role will engage directly with senior government leadership, including SES and Flag Officers, to provide thought leadership, technical guidance, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
Lead the sustainment and enhancement change management processes of business and technical solutions supporting Navy ERP transformation initiatives
Provide deep subject-matter expertise in Navy ERP, financial management, federal accounting standards and supply chain
Engage with senior stakeholders to define strategic direction, resolve complex technical challenges, and drive decision-making
Support audit response and remediation efforts, internal controls, and financial process improvements in accordance with GAAP, SFFAS, and OMB policies
Validate large financial datasets and transactions from feeder systems to the Navy ERP General Ledger
Conduct gap analyses and recommend process changes to support successful migration and post-migration operations
Deliver tailored Navy ERP training, develop job aids, and support change management activities across affected Business System Offices (BSOs)
Design and implement data validation, enrichment, and correction processes for post-migration environments
Analyze unmatched transactions and disbursements, perform data cleansing, and support reconciliation efforts
Communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders
Extract and analyze data using reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite applications
Functional Expertise
Recognized expert in financial management, federal accounting, ERP systems, and business transformation
Deep familiarity with DON processes, financial systems, and feeder systems
Proven ability to independently apply functional and technical knowledge to implement business solutions
Experience supporting large-scale ERP migrations in federal or large enterprise environments (1,000+ employees)
Ability to lead strategic planning and change management initiatives in complex environments
Required Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including transactional-level execution in Navy ERP
Certifications: SAP certification, PMP, or other relevant credentials preferred
Skills:
Expert-level understanding of GAAP, SFFAS, FASAB, OMB Circulars, GAO Handbooks, and Treasury Financial Manual
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting tools
Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
Prior involvement in Navy ERP migration or sustainment efforts
Experience working with Navy BSOs and ERP Sustainment teams
Demonstrated success in delivering training and change management support
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and federal audit requirements
