The newly launched Rutgers Center for NeuroMetabolism (CNM), in collaboration with the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHINJ), the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology (NCB), and the Rutgers Brain Health Institute (BHI), invites applications for tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Located within the Rutgers HelixNJ complex, the CNM aims to lead groundbreaking research at the intersection of neuroscience and metabolism, focusing on disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, eating disorders, and related inflammatory, vascular, or gastrointestinal diseases.

Position Details We seek researchers with expertise in neurometabolism and a focus on mechanisms underlying metabolic, neurological, and psychiatric disorders, as well as their translational potential for clinical therapies. Requirements
Doctoral Degree:
PhD, MD, or equivalent.
Assistant Professor Applicants:
Evidence of the ability to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program is preferred.
Associate/Full Professor Applicants:
Established federally funded research program with a proven track record of leadership and collaboration.
Research Focus:
Expertise in NeuroMetabolism, translational neuroscience, gut-brain interactions, or complementary fields.
