Overview
Position Summary: We\'re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of our agentic AI platforms in the E-commerce Analytics team. You\'ll shape the future of our AI/ML infrastructure, build and extend agentic frameworks, and create robust, scalable CI/CD pipelines to support production-grade agentic workloads. You\'ll collaborate with data analytics, machine learning, and product teams to integrate and scale AI/ML solutions across our E-commerce ecosystem. Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop the next generation of AI/ML infrastructure, focusing on capabilities that support agentic frameworks and production workloads. Develop and execute a comprehensive technical roadmap, define success metrics, and champion the platform\'s adoption across the organization. Transition AI/ML models from proof-of-concept to production-ready pipelines using MLOps frameworks, ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable. Partner with data analytics and data science teams to understand requirements, iterate on solutions, and provide expert technical guidance. Stay on the cutting edge of Generative AI and other emerging technologies, contributing to continuous platform improvement and fostering technical excellence. Champion best practices for containerization and orchestration technologies to optimize data processing and inference for large-scale models. Communicate project progress, technical challenges, and solutions to audiences ranging from technical teams to senior leadership. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor\'s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years\' experience in an analytics-related field; or Master\'s degree with 1 year of experience; or 5 years\' experience in analytics or related field. Preferred Qualifications : Data science, ML, optimization models; advanced degree in related fields; experience with Python, Spark, Scala, or R; experience with open source frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.); experience with AI agent frameworks; familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive digital experiences is a plus. The position is based in multiple locations with salary ranges as follows: San Bruno, CA: $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 per year; Bentonville, AR: $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock where applicable. At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other benefits.
