Overview
We are seeking experienced Senior Java developers to join our enterprise client to support and enhance our existing enrollments benefits API. This project involves transmitting enrollment information from multiple carriers into a centralized gateway system built on AWS, transforming it into standardized Schemas, and ensuring data integrity in real-time. Developers will work on enhancements, client onboarding, and ad-hoc requests, with opportunities to leverage AI tools for development efficiency. Base pay range
$68.00/hr - $80.00/hr Duration: 6+ month contract with extensions Pay: $68-$80/hour W2 Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage enrollment data. Design, implement, and maintain APIs for carrier integration. Work extensively with Kafka for real-time messaging, handling partitions, topics, and error-handling strategies (DLQs). Ensure adherence to industry-standard data schemas for data exchange and consistency. Collaborate with internal teams and occasionally participate in client-facing calls to explain technical solutions. Leverage AWS infrastructure including Lambda, state machines, and containerization frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes), with CDK for environment management, secrets, and CI/CD workflows. Utilize AI tools to assist in coding, testing, and debugging. Troubleshoot schema evolution issues and implement enhancements without breaking existing functionality. Must-Have Technology Stack

Java with Spring Boot expertise SQL and NoSQL database experience In-depth knowledge of Kafka including topics, partitions, and DLQ strategy design AWS experience with Lambda, state machines, CDK, and CI/CD best practices Proficiency with JSON and schema design for data exchange, consistency, and error handling Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and managing multiple environments (dev, staging, production) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for ad-hoc enhancement tasks Ability to participate in client discussions and clearly explain technical concepts Hands-on experience with schema evolution in Kafka during system enhancements Familiarity with onboarding multiple clients and handling unique integration requirements Knowledge of CDA framework for infrastructure deployment Seniority level
