Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit S01, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3% and will receive 5 hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period. Under general direction of the Staff Services Manager III, Quality Management (QM) Section, Program Development, the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) is directly responsible for the full range of supervisory duties that must be performed without a first line Staff Services Manager I. The SSM II is responsible for the development and implementation of the Statewide Patient Safety Program for health care services. This position oversees the California Correctional Health Care Services’ (CCHCS) strategic goals to identify and address problems within the healthcare system that may contribute to patient harm.

Up to 20% or more travel may be required . This position is located in the Quality Management Section. With the understanding that patient safety is the fundamental responsibility of every individual within the correctional health care delivery system, the Quality Management Section strives to support continuous evaluation and positive change in order to improve patient outcomes, cost effectiveness and efficiencies, and support the delivery of safe patient care.
