The SSM II plans, coordinates, and oversees the work of three ADAP Eligibility Units. Develops, guides, and oversees highly technical and politically sensitive HIV-related policies and short- and long-term strategies to address the ongoing care needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS throughout California. Interacts with federal, state, and local government, the insurance provider community, HIV advocacy organizations, and individuals living with HIV/AIDS due to the high visibility and political sensitivity of these programs. Provides training and education to Office of AIDS staff and local health jurisdictions on technical issues as needed. Qualifications and Application Requirements
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required with your application. It is a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience, and skills meet the qualifications. The SOQ should address the Desirable Qualifications and be supported by specific examples. The SOQ should be typed and no more than two pages in length. Eligibility information: new to California State Service candidates must take and pass the examination for this classification; current state employees must also complete and pass the examination.
