Overview
Server Virtualization Engineer – 6+ month contract – Downtown Dallas, TX (Hybrid) Responsibilities
Design, build and implement virtual solutions to simulate APIs and edge applications. Create and maintain virtual services, data models and performance simulations to support faster testing methods and enable teams to deliver testing artifacts at a shorter timeline. Work closely with developers and product managers/owners to identify areas of improvement for Service Virtualization and Performance Engineering. Learn the project team’s application architecture and priorities quickly and provide actionable feedback while balancing team priorities with enterprise governance standards. Generate and simulate virtualized services using Broadcom Dev Test tools. Create VSI and VSM and import into Workstation using Broadcom Dev Test; record and simulate system dependencies using the imported VSI/VSM. Monitor and analyze test execution using the Dev Test Portal, Registry, Coordinator and recommend services that can be virtualized; educate application teams to achieve improvements. Develop virtualized services to embed into the continuous testing process. Identify opportunities to shift to a Test Driven Development model and foster maturity to shift left. Maintain excellent analytical and communication skills and interact with functional users to provide feedback to the technical team. Assist Environment / Release Management to optimize test environment progression and enable teams to utilize environments without physical application availability constraints. Requirements
Strong knowledge of service virtualization tools like Broadcom Dev Test (Workstation, Portal, VSE, Registry, Simulator and Coordinator modules). Experience with WireMock is a plus. Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and tools; proficiency in Java and JavaScript. Knowledge of Python is a plus. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of GitLab CI is a plus. Experience with performance testing artifacts and evaluating performance metrics; ability to contribute to Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) gathering and add new scenarios for performance testing with functional changes. Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs, MQ/JMS messaging and XML/JSON data protocols. Experience with AWS, Azure, etc. Estimated Min Rate : $51.10 Estimated Max Rate : $75.00 What’s In It for You?
