Base pay range
$85.00/hr - $90.00/hr This role seeks a highly motivated and result oriented service virtualization engineer who is primarily responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining service virtualization solutions that will enable various application testing teams to simulate services and data. This individual must ensure best practices and processes are adapted to eliminate dependencies on unavailable services and self-enable application teams to use reliable virtual services to help with integration and performance testing. Responsibilities
Design, build and implement virtual solutions to simulate APIs and edge applications. Create and maintain virtual services, data models and performance simulations to support faster testing methods and enable teams to deliver testing artifacts at a shorter timeline. Work closely with developers and product managers/owners to identify areas of improvement for Service Virtualization and Performance Engineering. Learn quickly to understand the project team’s application architecture, priorities and provide feedback for improvement while balancing team priorities with enterprise governance standards. Generate simulated virtualized services using Broadcom Dev Test tools. Create VSI and VSM and import into Workstation using Broadcom Dev Test. Record and simulate system dependencies using the imported VSI/VSM. Monitor and analyze test execution using the Dev Test Portal, Registry, Coordinator and recommend services that can be virtualized; collaborate with application teams to educate and accomplish improvements. Develop virtualized services to embed into the continuous testing process. Identify opportunities to shift to a Test Driven Development model and contribute to maturity to shift left. Exhibit excellent analytical and communication skills and interact with functional users to provide feedback to the technical team. Assist Environment / Release Management to optimize test environment progression by enabling teams to utilize environments without physical application availability constraints. Required Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of service virtualization tools like Broadcom Dev Test (Workstation, Portal, VSE, Registry, Simulator and Coordinator modules). Experience with WireMock is a plus. Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. GitLab CI is a plus. Familiarity with Performance Testing artifacts and involvement in performance metrics evaluation; able to provide input to Non-Functional Requirement (NFR) gathering and help add scenarios for performance testing with changes in functionality. Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs, MQ/JMS Messaging and XML/JSON data protocols. Experience with AWS, Azure, etc. Seniority level
