Software Engineer - Crypto & Cross Domain Solutions Location:
Scottsdale, AZ Contract Position Pay Estimated:
$56.17-$70.73/Hour This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographical location, etc.). This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities
Design and implement
automated build and test pipelines
for Petalinux/Yocto environments targeting
Xilinx SoCs
(Zynq Ultrascale+, Versal). Collaborate with software and FPGA developers to
debug and resolve integration issues
across software and hardware layers. Lead and execute
functional, robustness, and performance testing
on secure embedded systems. Develop scripts and tooling (Python and other languages) to
automate build/test infrastructure
and improve CI/CD efficiency. Use
GitLab CI/CD
pipelines for version control, automated testing, and build validation. Support system bring-up, test coverage expansion, and new release validation across software/hardware boundaries. Advocate for and implement
process improvements and technical standards
in embedded Linux build/test workflows.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Education : Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering or STEM field Master’s degree accepted with 3+ years of experience; otherwise, 5+ years of experience required Technical Expertise : 5+ years of experience building and testing
Petalinux/Yocto for Xilinx SoCs Strong scripting skills in
Python
and shell scripting for automation Experience with
GitLab
for CI/CD workflows and source control Proven ability to
debug cross-functional issues
in SW/FPGA systems
Additional Experience (preferred)
Docker and
Podman
on Linux Wind River Linux
Work Style
Self-starter capable of working independently to automate, test, and release robust embedded systems
Preferred Qualifications
Agile
development experience preferred
