Web Software Developer Scottsdale, AZ Contract Position Pay Estimated: $65.73-$70.73/Hour This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.) Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains. Responsibilities: Design, build, and deploy scalable web applications using the
Django Python Framework
and
Microsoft SQL Server .
Develop and manage relational databases to store project, configuration, and licensing data.
Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using
HTML5 ,
HTMX ,
JavaScript ,
CSS , and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define architecture, and implement user-centric solutions.
Administer application environments, including deployment, Active Directory integration, and hosting support.
Provide input on software and infrastructure improvements for performance, scalability, and security.
Implement and follow best practices in database performance, data security, and web application design.
Conduct system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting with an emphasis on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Proactively contribute to technical discussions, offering creative solutions to complex software challenges.
Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience
in web application development, or
3+ years
with a Master’s degree.
Ability to obtain and maintain a
Secret Clearance Subject Matter Expert (SME) in
Django
and
Python , with experience developing full-stack web applications.
Strong knowledge of
Microsoft SQL Server
and relational database design.
Proficiency in
HTML5 ,
CSS ,
JavaScript , and HTMX.
Experience with
Git
and
GitLab
for version control.
Ability to independently drive tasks from requirements to deployment.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using sound software engineering principles.
Skilled in developing with
Information Security
in mind.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
System administration and deployment experience in
Active Directory
environments.
Understanding of best practices in
database administration , indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in iterative development cycles.
Experience with enterprise hosting, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization (e.g., Docker).
