ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Security Specialist is responsible for the overall security posture of the Nooks facility, ensuring compliance with national security regulations and maintaining a secure operational environment. This role requires an experienced security professional with deep knowledge of industrial security, classified space accreditation, and risk management. Reporting to the Principal Site Lead, the Site Security Lead will oversee all security functions, manage a team of security personnel, and collaborate with government and industry partners to uphold security excellence. Responsibilities
Lead all site and program security aspects, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, and DoDM 5205.07 Volume 2 regulations. Oversee the accreditation process for classified spaces and implement necessary construction security measures. Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability analysis to mitigate threats. Serve as the primary security liaison for government agencies, defense contractors, internal stakeholders, and clients/customers of Nooks. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and training programs for personnel. Supervise and mentor the site security team, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to security protocols. Manage visitor access control, security clearances, and personnel vetting procedures. Maintain personnel security database and facility clearance (DISS, NBIS, NISS). Coordinate emergency response and incident management protocols, ensuring swift and effective resolution. Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to safeguard classified information and infrastructure. Prepare, review, and submit DD Forms 254 and manage subcontracts to ensure security compliance. Conduct new employee and customer security briefings, annual security refresher briefings, derivative classification training, debriefings, investigating security violations, and submitting reports as required. Qualifications
10+ years of experience in industrial, physical, and national security operations. Extensive knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, and related security regulations with a strong understanding of physical security requirements for the planning, construction, certification, accreditation, and ongoing maintenance of classified facilities Strong leadership and personnel management skills, with experience leading security teams. Proven track record in security risk assessment and classified space accreditation. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as Industrial Security Professional(ISP) or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) Established network within the DoD and Intelligence Communities. $120,000 - $140,000 USD Voluntary Self-Identification
