Overview As a member of the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (GSHCC) After-School Programming team, this position is responsible for program delivery efforts that align with Girl Scouts’ focus on leadership, STEAM, entrepreneurship, and outdoor experiences in addition to providing admin support to the After-School Programming team. A key component will be modeling high quality program delivery for facilitators across the After-School Clubs.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Girl Scout meetings in after-school programs as needed.

Purchase and maintain supplies for facilitators delivering programming.

Create and maintain accurate rosters and attendance records.

Create and distribute email newsletters to families.

Drive the 30 foot STEM Mobile to partner sites when the primary driver is not available.

Support with tracking Live Scan results, TB tests, First Aid/CPR and additional records for facilitators to be in compliance with contracts.

Support partnerships with expanded learning staff at host sites through regular communication, resource sharing, program visits, and participation in after-school and weekend events.

Educate families about Girl Scouts and register girls in After-School Clubs through Family Information Nights, tabling at relevant school- and community-based events, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

At least 1+ years of experience in a related field.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with other staff members, parents and after-school providers effectively.

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and a customer relationship management system such as Salesforce. Willingness to learn and use our Girl Scouts volunteer system.

High level of interpersonal and customer service skills.

Demonstrated commitment to recognize and respect the many forms of diversity.

Demonstrated willingness to embrace the Girl Scouts mission, goals, values and council-driven programs.

Valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance.

Available for council-required weekend and evening events.

Ability to take initiative and thrives when working in a matrixed environment.

Highly culturally competent, working effectively with those from diverse backgrounds to create and sustain an environment in which people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives can succeed.

Physical Requirements

Able to lift and carry 25 pounds.

Work Hours / Travel

Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as required throughout the Council’s 18 counties.

Hours covered 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (depending on the day).

Willingness to work many evenings and weekends.

Other Working Conditions

Work with a staff regional team to assist each other in reaching department goals.
