Our client, in
Newark, NJ , is looking for a
Project Engineer
to join their team. This is a
direct-hire
opportunity. Pay:
$120-$175K (DOE).
Base pay range : $12,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr. DESCRIPTION: The Project Engineer's role may differ on the specific project they are assigned to. The successful candidate will be capable of successfully leading their assigned projects from buyout through closeout. More specific responsibilities include:
Assists with monthly billings, cash flow projections, and processing change orders.
Reviews mock-up and/or shop drawings and specifications.
Responsible for review and maintenance of subcontractor non-compliance and coordinates with QA/QC.
Verifies that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications.
Identifies critical work items, procures long-lead items, orders and schedules material deliveries.
Assists in preparing work plans.
Assists in managing document control, project safety, and environmental requirements.
Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations to include health, safety, and welfare as appropriate.
Performs material quantity takeoffs from contract documents.
Assists in the supervision of field operations.
Assists in preparing purchase orders and subcontracts.
Assists in preparing schedules and performing updates.
Provides field support and supervises subcontractor operations.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar from accredited institution and 10 or more years of relevant experience.
Experience on construction projects over 100 million
Experience preparing cost reports
Knowledge of legal/contract and claims processes
Proficiency with MS Office software; familiar with industry software such as Procore, Primavera P6.
Strong written and verbal skills
