Position Title: CACE Contemplative Heritage and Practice Assistant Department/Program: CACE 13100 Remote Work Authorization: Hybrid On-Site/Remote Campus Location: 2111 Arapahoe Reports to: Charlotte Rotterdam FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly FTE: 25% (10 hrs/week) Compensation: $18.00 an hour Application Deadline: 9/15/25 or until filled. Job Summary

This Work Study role is housed under the Division of Mission Culture and Inclusive Community and serving first and foremost CACE - The Center for the Advancement of Contemplative Education. Responsible for providing administrative support in assisting CACE with ongoing upkeep and curation of Contemplative Practice spaces and services such as Meditation Halls, the Tea House, and Shrines across campus while supporting the implementation of community events and programming. Job Duties & Responsibilities

Contemplative Practices Support: Maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of meditation halls, manage inventory and purchase supplies (e.g., incense, candles), and maintain the schedule/calendar of contemplative practice offerings for students. Attend Monday morning meditation sessions whenever possible. Event Coordination and Support: Assist with organizing, advertising, and managing Community Practice Day and other MCIC events and trainings handling tasks such as facilitator communication, room allocation, promotional materials, calendar invites, event setup, breakdown, and on-site support. Attendance and Feedback Management: Track event attendance, send follow-up communications, and gather community feedback. Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the MCIC Media Assistant to design, distribute, and post promotional materials (posters, flyers, online content) across campuses and community forums, including social media updates. Administrative Support: Provide general office assistance such as maintaining bulletin boards, updating files and databases (e.g., meditation instructors), data entry, website and myNaropa Events Calendar updates, copying, and other clerical tasks. Community Engagement: Assist with outreach to local religious organizations and attend community meetings to support collaboration efforts. Team Collaboration: Regularly meet and collaborate with MCIC staff and the work-study team to support ongoing and emergent projects. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned. Minimum Requirements

Familiarity and experience with the Center for Contemplative Education (CACE) highly regarded Experience with media design tools such as Canva, Youtube, MS Office, Teams, and social media. Comfortable with new technologies. Experience with Contemplative Practice or desire to learn and uphold the heritage practices and values established at Naropa. General degree of professionalism and office decorum.
