$60.00/hr - $110.00/hr This range is provided by Staffing Opportunities Solutions, Inc.. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Role & Responsibilities
Manage US state and local tax filings to ensure timely and accurate compliance for all entities, including coordination and review of returns and tax forms prepared by external advisors or internally Manage and report to the US VP – Tax regarding all state and local tax compliance, controversy, and 10K/10Q reporting matters, including income, franchise and gross receipts tax; sales and use tax; personal property tax; unclaimed property tax Conduct research and determine the taxability of various products and services Manage state and local tax controversy matters, including handling audits, responding to and resolving notices and other inquiries from tax authorities in coordination with the Tax Team Assist in managing a broad spectrum of state and local tax matters, including tax planning, research, quantitative analysis, nexus, taxability and modeling of tax impacts of planning Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to address complex tax issues Coordinate with colleagues in non-US jurisdictions for US tax compliance, reporting, and other filing requirements as they relate to state and local taxes Qualifications
Masters in Tax or CPA or LLM (Tax) Knowledge of US state and local tax laws and concepts 6-8 years’ Big 4 and multinational corporation tax experience Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Alteryx and OneSource Tax Provision application (OTP) is preferred Strong analytical and technical research skills Excellent professional writing, problem solving, and communication skills Self-motivator with the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to lead, mentor, and supervise staff, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development Seniority level
