Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a permanent hybrid role offering remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, oversee tax engagements, and provide expert guidance on complex tax issues. You will play a pivotal role in our accounting and finance team, leveraging in-depth knowledge of tax law, general accounting principles, and strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all tax engagements are completed accurately and on time.
Prepare a wide variety of complex tax returns for both individuals and closely-held businesses.
Conduct complex tax research using various resources and platforms, ensuring advice aligns with current tax law.
Supervise, coach, train and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants, fostering continuous learning and professional development.
Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure smooth business operations.
Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client and colleague relationships.
Utilize proficiency with GAAP, Lacerte and/or ProSystems FX, and Excel to perform tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with a major or concentration in accounting, tax, or related field.
5+ years of progressively responsible experience with a public accounting firm.
Strong general accounting skills.
Experience in preparing a wide variety of complex tax returns.
Experience with tax engagements for individuals and closely-held businesses.
Proficiency with tax law and complex tax research using available resources and platforms.
Proficiency with GAAP, Lacerte and/or ProSystems FX, and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to supervise, coach, train and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants.
CPA certification is required.
