Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a permanent hybrid role that offers the flexibility of both remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing tax engagements, and providing expert guidance on complex tax issues. You will play a pivotal role in our accounting and finance team, helping to drive the success of our business through your in-depth knowledge of tax law, general accounting principles, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all tax engagements are completed accurately and on time.

Prepare a wide variety of complex tax returns for both individual and closely-held businesses.

Conduct complex tax research using a variety of resources and platforms, ensuring all advice given is in line with current tax law.

Supervise, coach, train and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.

Use proficiency with GAAP, Lacerte and/or ProSystems FX, and Excel to carry out tasks effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with a major or concentration in accounting, tax, or a related field.

5+ years of progressively responsible experience with a public accounting firm.

Strong general accounting skills.

Experience in preparing a wide variety of complex tax returns.

Experience with tax engagements for both individual and closely-held businesses.

Proficiency with tax law and complex tax research using available resources and platforms.

Proficiency with GAAP, Lacerte and/or ProSystems FX, and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Proven ability to supervise, coach, train and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants.

CPA certification is must.
