Opened in 2010, Palmdale Regional Medical Center is a 184-bed, acute care hospital located in Palmdale, CA. Palmdale Regional is part of the Southwest Healthcare network and is committed to delivering patient-centered care and community service excellence. The Manager of Risk Management is a key member of the SWHS leadership team and will be responsible for leading our hospital Patient Safety-Risk Management Plan. He/she will ensure that a framework is established and utilized to lead risk management programs that deliver tangible operational and strategic value, support a Just Culture, and promote exceptional patient-centered care. Qualifications
Job Duties/Responsibilities
and requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in healthcare risk management Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a related field; acute care experience preferred In-depth knowledge of risk management processes including risk identification, risk reduction, mitigation, claims management, and contract review Knowledge of the Joint Commission Standards, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Conditions of Participation, California acute care regulations, and California Department of Public Health functions. Ability to respond and develop plans of correction/evidence to regulatory agencies preferred California license in the field of specialty, as applicable; Registered Nurse highly preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or equivalent required Benefits
