$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage tax planning and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients, including high net worth individuals and corporate entities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex tax legislation and provide insightful advice to optimize tax positions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of tax planning and compliance for clients, including C-Corps, S-Corps, and individuals. Prepare and review federal and state tax returns, including 1120, 1065, 990, and 1040 forms. Conduct thorough tax research to stay up-to-date with current tax laws and regulations. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize savings for clients. Collaborate with clients to provide expert tax advice and support during audits and inquiries. Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on tax preparation and compliance matters. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure alignment with tax regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or LLM in Taxation is a plus. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on public accounting and high net worth clients. Proficient in CHH Axcess or similar software system and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, compliance requirements, and tax planning techniques. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
