About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Accounting to serve as a senior leader with a focus on financial operations integrity, accuracy, and timeliness. This pivotal role is responsible for bridging corporate finance with property-level performance, particularly in the context of single-family property management. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, billing process governance, and cross-functional accountability, with a strong mandate to enhance reporting quality, tighten controls, and improve process efficiency. Key responsibilities include leading the preparation of all financial reports, validating data across systems, and developing standardized reporting frameworks. The role also involves overseeing the billing lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining core accounting and financial operations. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a CPA preferred, and a minimum of 7-10 years' of progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally within real estate or property management. Deep knowledge of GAAP, audit standards, and regulatory compliance is essential, as is experience with the Yardi ERP system and strong Excel skills. The role requires a leader who can drive system implementations, enforce best practices, and serve as a key financial partner to both corporate and on-site operational teams. The Vice President will also be responsible for managing a team and must demonstrate a proven track record in implementing financial systems and process improvements.
