Overview
CrowdStrike is looking for a Cloud Engineer II to join our Asset Management Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you\'ll help build and maintain cloud services that provide a unified experience for visibility data across multiple modules of the Falcon Console. Falcon Exposure Management is a critical component of the Falcon platform, providing real-time visibility into an organization\'s attack surface and enabling security teams to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and other exposure risks. You\'ll be part of a team that owns an entire piece of the stack, and work closely with both other Cloud Engineers, UI Engineers, Product, and QA to help build and improve our product. Write secure and maintainable code that powers one of CrowdStrike’s flagship products Be part of a global team of highly skilled and passionate engineers, building and maintaining cloud services Collaborate with others across multiple teams to brainstorm, research, and build solutions that are driven by our Product roadmap Build, maintain, and improve backend microservices written in Go and Python Launch and support features that will be used by millions of users around the world Understand business and engineering requirements so that you can be proactive in sharing ideas and solutions Constantly be aware of our customers and keep them front of mind while planning and releasing features Have a strong focus on quality of code through best practices, testing, logging and metrics Have the autonomy to own your work in a high trust environment What You’ll Need
A minimum of 3+ years of production-level experience in building, delivering, and maintaining systems at scale Strong programming skills in Golang, Python, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or similar Expertise in distributed systems, micro-service architectures, multi-region architectures, software development best practices, observability and reliability engineering Hands on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching technologies – Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis Expertise in scalability such as queues, concurrency, sharding, partitioning, etc. A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture Experience debugging complex issues at every level of the stack The ability to work independently, but also collaboratively Education / Certifications
BS in Computer Science or a related major (or equivalent experience) is strongly preferred. Bonus Points
Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch Docker and Kubernetes experience Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields
