Overview
ETL Developer role focused on Ab Initio-based data integration, transformation, and application administration. The position involves designing and deploying scalable ETL workflows, mentoring developers, and collaborating with data management teams to align data strategies. Location: Richardson, TX (and surrounding areas). Salary ranges vary by experience.
Responsibilities
Ab Initio Graphical Development: Proficient in creating and debugging Ab Initio graphs for data processing.
Ab Initio Administration: Perform admin activities such as access management, configure Ab Initio EME, Web Application and bridge services.
ETL Processes: Strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices.
Data Transformation: Perform complex data transformations and cleansing.
Unix/Linux: Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
SQL: Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata) and advanced SQL.
Troubleshooting: Lead and troubleshoot Ab Initio applications, debugging issues and guiding the team.
Mentorship and Standards: Mentor, guide, and train developers with best practices and coding standards; foster knowledge sharing and lead by example.
Lead ETL Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-performance ETL solutions using Ab Initio; translate business and data requirements into robust workflows.
Collaboration: Drive technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions; collaborate with Data Management to align on data strategies.
Ab Initio Environment Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Ab Initio components (GDE, Cooperating System, Conduct IT, EME, Control Center, Authorization Gateway).
Security and Access: Manage user access, roles, and key management with Ab Initio keys team.
Qualifications
Strong experience with Ab Initio development and administration.
Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data transformation, and data cleansing.
Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
Proficient in SQL and working with Oracle, Teradata, or similar relational databases.
Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to lead issue resolution.
Experience mentoring developers and enforcing coding standards.
Ability to translate business requirements into durable Ab Initio workflows.
Strong collaboration, communication, and decision-making abilities.
