Your Day to Day Life
We are looking for a
Treasury Analyst
in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to: The Treasury and Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for assisting with liquidity management, including (but not limited to) cash reporting and forecasting, working capital analysis, bank account management and transfers (including updating payee/vendor banking), letters of credit issuance/maintenance, and oversight and implementation of overall Treasury processes/policies/procedures, including periodically coordinating with the bank and any related internal or external stakeholders on banking system updates. Treasury and Accounts Payable Analyst will also manage corporate credit card programs and oversight, including managing approvals (via Certify), maintaining/validating list of users (via Works), and reporting on credit card spending. The role will require effective interactions with banking institutions and work with banking partners and external consultants to continually improve corporate banking infrastructure and processes. The Treasury and Accounts Payable Analyst will work with AP leadership (AP Manager, AP Supervisor, and AP Leads) to assist with day-to-day activities of AP staff, including (but not limited to) assisting with reporting, preparation and implementation of policies and procedures, invoice management, vendor management, and support to overall AP team.
Your Profile
Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree required, preferable in Accounting or Finance. Five years plus in a commercial Accounts Payable environment. Previous Analyst or supervisory experience required. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, with high Excel proficiency. Ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to work in complex situations with professionalism and decorum. Qualifications Desired Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems preferred.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
TREASURY MANAGEMENT Relationships with financial institutions. Analyze and negotiate banking fees, earning, credit rate and LC's. Generate executive-level daily cash reports reflecting the bank's prior day incoming cash, outgoing cash, cash float, cash balance, etc. Assist in preparation of entity-level monthly short- and long-term cash forecast models that project and evaluate liquidity needs Execute required cash movements between Company bank accounts in a timely, efficient and accurate manner Review of Company bank accounts to ensure appropriate accounts are set up, closure of bank accounts as needed. Manage corporate credit card program ensuring effective controls and reporting
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Helps support the daily activities of accounts payable team to ensure all incoming vendor invoices are processed for payment in a timely and accurate manner according to established procedures and policies Support the payment disbursement process for the Company, including assisting with payment procedures and working researching banking fail/returns/concerns. Assist with periodic outstanding check review. Research and resolve bank reconciliation A/P outstanding items in a timely manner Assist in pulling requested documentation for audit requests Oversee the timely and accurate processing and reimbursement of employee expense reports ensuring compliance with company policy Other related duties as assigned. At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.
Communication
Regular contact with Laboratory Directors and Division Vice Presidents is necessary to obtain information pertaining to laboratory accounts. Contact with upper management may be necessary concerning the preparation of special projects. Contact with accountants at our foreign affiliates is necessary on a quarterly basis to process required financial documentation. Vendors/suppliers, bank contacts and contact with outside auditors is frequent during the annual audit time period to provide account information and investigate any discrepancies

Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow up on own initiative. Strong communication skills are required to effectively work with staff; internal and external clients; and, our foreign affiliates. Good analytical skills are necessary to quickly identify problems and determine the best course of action. A comprehensive understanding of business principles and the ability to understand and analyze financial data.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The position primarily works in an office environment with a hybrid (onsite / office) schedule. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a sitting position.
Compensation Package Overview
Compensation Range $73,000 - $78,000 annual salary Full Time Eligible Benefits Overview: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. Generous vacation package to support work-life balance following state and local ordinances.
