Overview
Apollo Insurance Solutions Group is seeking a Portfolio Control Associate. This is an opportunity for a business associate with financial services industry experience to work in a fast-paced environment that provides opportunity for learning and growth. The Portfolio Control Associate acts as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to support business operations. An ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, effective time management, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a high degree of adaptability. Primary Responsibilities
Trade Lifecycle: Assist trading/deal desks with booking administrative trades, including inter-portfolio transfers and delayed draw/revolver fundings for alternatives including private market transactions in applicable OMS/trading applications. Reconcile and update trade level reference data fields such as mandate, dealing desk, and fee categories. Update unfunded commitments for proper liquidity forecast and management. Facilitate onboarding of both Asset in Kind and Cash for Pension Group Annuity acquisitions and 3rd party client onboardings. Process Management
Coordinate physical re-registrations with external and internal stakeholders including Deal Teams, Legal and Compliance, and outside Counsel. Work with internal and external stakeholders on ad-hoc requests. Report and monitor Key Performance Indicators for Portfolio Control’s team functions. Review and refine processes and procedures on regular cadence. Consistently identify, implement, and refine processes for efficiency improvements with a focus on SOC 1 control adherence. Assist with managing key projects to support the team. Client Onboarding
Timely completion of custodian questionnaire to onboard/fund new client mandates. Organize client W-9, completed custodian questionnaire, and IMA for audit trail. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of key onboarding functions. Articulate client needs and tailor communication to align with business objectives and standards. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. Three to five years of industry experience in an asset management, broker/dealer, custodian account administration, or related financial services setting. Prior experience in Middle Office or Trade Operations, including transitions or account setup. Prior experience with SOC 1 controls and understanding of adherence importance. Experience with investment products including Corporate Bonds, Treasuries, FX, Privates, Alternatives, and Derivatives. Experience using systems supporting portfolio management or custody operations (State Street PAM for Investments, Markit thinkFolio, and Aladdin Explore experience is a plus). Technology experience with Bloomberg, Excel, SQL, or Python (Advanced Excel preferred). Experience managing or supporting projects across functional areas. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently toward tight deadlines. Positive team player who adapts to changing environments and ambiguity. $115,000 - $125,000 The base salary range listed is a guideline. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and firm performance. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise. Seniority level
