Senior Property Accountant . This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with experience in commercial property management to join a collaborative, small-team environment and contribute meaningfully to a growing department. Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple commercial properties and entities Enter monthly rent charges and accounts payable invoices for each property Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow tracking Review and set up lease agreements; track tenant improvement (TI) allowances and lease commissions Reconcile loan and interest statements Create journal entries including depreciation, amortization, and other adjustments Prepare annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations Compile monthly and quarterly management reports Process monthly distributions to partners Collaborate with project managers to develop annual property budgets File and pay PTE, BAIT, and property taxes Provide documentation and reporting for insurance claims and audits Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual financial reports to lenders File and issue 1099s Assist in preparing documentation for annual tax filings Ideal Candidate Profile
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate Strong understanding of lease structures and property-level accounting Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and dependable Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a small team Experience with Yardi is a plus Ability to work in a hybrid environment with structured on-site days Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 20 Days PTO 401(k) with 3% Company Match EEO and Privacy
