1. PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Receivable: Review cash application journals. Assist with unapplied cash reconciliation. Support as back-up to remote deposit, cash application, and other tasks as required. Assist with foreign insurance compliance, Canada HST Recovery. Cash Management: Review daily bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts. Prepare weekly cash forecast. Maintain foreign bank accounts including assistance in opening new bank accounts as necessary for assigned entities. Support domestic cash management related tasks such as preparing Borrowing Base Calculation. General Accounting: Review bank transactions timely and accurately. Oversee day-to-day functions for assigned entities and accountable to completion of related deliverables. Support corporate and payroll tax correspondence resolution. Assist with other general accounting tasks as required. Month-end and Year-end Close: Ensure all daily and weekly transactions are posted timely and accurately for a proper cut-off. Perform month-end close duties including journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis for subsidiary entities. Participate in annual interim and year-end financial audit. Departmental Quality and Business Objectives: Participate in achieving targeted departmental quality objectives. Assist in streamlining processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in completing department business objectives according to established timeline. Special Projects or ad-hoc requests as assigned. 2. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance with the requirements of the company Business Management System (BMS). Participate in corrective action, process improvement, and special project activities. Assist in writing departmental procedures, work instructions and process mapping. Ensure that the professional image of the company and customers is maintained at all times. Ensure dealings with customers, Field Resources, suppliers, and other company employees and associates are conducted in accordance with the highest standards of integrity. Accord courteous, impartial and equitable treatment to all. The Verify Group of Companies does not condone questionable or criminal conduct by any Verify employee and expects all Verify employees to conform to the highest level of compliance, ethical and business conduct standards.
