The agency seeks a dynamic, motivated to learn, outgoing and detail-oriented insurance professional to work with our agency team, clients and prospects. The individual will be engaged in supporting and providing day to day servicing of new and existing business, delivering exceptional service to clients and prospects, complementing the service and growth-oriented culture. We are seeking a Personal Lines professional representative to join our team for an in-office role in the Jericho, New York office. As a Personal Lines representative, you will be responsible for generating and underwriting new business, managing the daily new business and renewal workflow, networking with centers of influence and maintaining client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Provide quotes, new and renewal, managing workflow, including interfacing with carrier portals and billing inquiries. Customize insurance programs to quote, market and issue to suit individual clients' needs, quoting in carrier portals, and wholesalers Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify clients' insurance requirements. Day to day personal lines servicing to include quoting, marketing accounts, process and create Acord forms and Certificates, check policies, generate Evidence of Property documents, ID cards, and needed documents, checking endorsements for accuracy from carriers. Document updates and correspondence in Agency Management System Present and explain insurance policy options to clients within tight timelines, prioritizing pressing policy issues Negotiate insurance terms and premiums on behalf of clients Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations and underwriting guidelines Issue binders, processing endorsements and track policy changes and revisions Qualifications: Proven experience as a
licensed
Insurance representative for Personal Lines P & C lines (1-10+ years’ experience) in an agency or wholesale setting Strong knowledge of insurance products and services preferred Excellent communication, written and verbal, sales and negotiation skills Ability to analyze market trends and identify business opportunities Valid driver's license with a clean driving record College Degree preferred or High school diploma or equivalent required Background check required and assessments. The ideal candidate will be open to learning, being mentored and have strong personal lines underwriting skills with an affluent clientele, outstanding organizational and sales skills, be detailed oriented, an excellent closer and has a successful track record building and servicing a profitable book of business.
