Estuary Power is a developer and owner of utility scale energy generation, storage, and transmission projects. Based in Reno, Nevada, Estuary develops and owns some of the most exciting and innovative projects in the western United States and is growing rapidly.
The Role Estuary is seeking an Accounting Manager to work in our Reno, Nevada office. Estuary cannot offer H1B sponsorship or hybrid or remote work at this time.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end close, and financial statement preparation.
Create and maintain project and company budgets; track and analyze project and company performance vs budgets.
Lead annual audits and reviews.
Work closely with outside consultants, vendors, investors, and financing parties.
Contribute to $100M+ financing processes.
Create periodic and ad-hoc reports, both quantitative and qualitative.
Manage and maintain legal entities; maintain company entity charts.
Manage and maintain company insurance policies.
Manage special accounting, finance, and transaction projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably including experience with energy project finance and tax financing structures and/or capital projects construction.
Well organized, diligent, and detail oriented.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to create and manipulate organized, easy-to-follow spreadsheets.
Enthusiasm for lean, hands-on start-up environment. Excited about embracing a wide variety of roles, from very strategic to very executional.
Proactive, self-motivated, resilient, intellectually curious.
