Job Description The CU Denver Business School is seeking applications for a Lecturer in Accounting position. This posting will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for temporary, non-tenure-track appointments for the 2025-2026 academic year. Appointments will be part-time ( Responsibilities
What you will do: The Lecturer(s) will teach in the Accounting discipline at the CU Denver Business School. Classes will be at undergraduate or graduate level, generally up to three credit hours, in varying modalities (in person, hybrid, remote or online). Duties include delivery of tailored instruction to diverse language and cultural backgrounds, preparing rigorous lesson plans, assessing student progress, and reporting student offenses (e.g., plagiarism, cheating, absences) per program policies. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or terminal degree in Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Fiscal Reporting, Fiscal Management, Financial Forecasting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution; additional certifications, licensures, and/or trainings as applicable.
Recent significant professional, technical, or managerial experience in the discipline related to the teaching assignment; at least five years of duties and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience teaching in Accounting.
Professional certification/licensure in accounting or allied field (e.g., CPA, CMA).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge in related discipline; demonstrated interest in mentoring and teaching.
Effective written and oral communication; leadership abilities.
Ability to plan, establish, and implement teaching goals independently; establish and maintain relationships across the institution.
Conditions of Employment
Occasional evening/weekend work may be required. Hybrid structure; remote or office-based as needed. Office-based work is encouraged for collaboration.

Mental, Physical, and Environmental Requirements:
Sit for extended periods; occasional standing/walking; keyboard use; near vision for computer work; minimal lifting; bending or reaching to retrieve items. Employment Sponsorship:
