Who We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a motivated MEP Estimator with progressive experience in FP/P/M/E estimating or the construction industry and a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field. The successful candidate will manage fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical (FP/P/M/E) estimating for projects, including estimating, quantity takeoffs, sub bid solicitation, development of budgets, scope clarifications, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor and general contractor coordination, and staying current with industry developments relevant to estimating. The candidate should be able to represent the firm effectively, including committing to schedule and cost parameters within approved limits.

What You’ll Do:

The MEP Estimator will oversee complete and accurate material take-offs for items of work and create scope sheets for potential bidders and bid tabulations. They will prepare milestone budgets during preconstruction, maintain cost histories and pricing data, coordinate the estimating process with management and other estimators, and provide feedback on project pricing issues. This role suits someone who excels in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with multiple project relationships and competing priorities.

What You Bring to The Table:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Mathematics, or a related field

Progressive years of experience in FP/P/M/E estimating or the construction industry

A minimum of 2 years in multifamily projects

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook

Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including some advanced math

Knowledgeable in On Screen Takeoff, Plan Swift, or equivalent systems

Thorough knowledge in analyzing construction documents, mechanical reports, and specifications

Knowledge of estimating software, preferably Sage Estimating Software

Strong attention to detail and well organized

Diplomatic with the ability to handle confidential information and situations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 with up to 10% in an annual discretionary bonus
