We are seeking a proactive and client-focused
Account Executive
to join our
Employee Benefits Department . This role is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring smooth benefit plan administration, and assisting with renewals, compliance, and open enrollment processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in employee benefits, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide excellent service to our clients.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage client partnership calendar, including onboarding, renewals, compliance alerts, 5500 filings, and plan documentation (SPDs, SBCs, Wrap Documents, certificates of insurance, policies, etc.).
Assist in Open Enrollment preparation and execution.
Prepare and present client-facing materials, including claim experience, benchmarking, rate renewals, plan design alternatives, contribution modeling, and renewal recommendations.
Maintain all policy aspects of assigned accounts.
Communicate clear expectations to clients professionally and proactively.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness when interacting with clients, internal teams, and insurance carriers.
Manage client inquiries and work with insurance carriers to resolve issues.
Conduct enrollment meetings as needed with prepared materials.
Assess existing lines of business to determine if additional coverage should be added and seek proposals from carriers accordingly.
Develop strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and vendors.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint)
and ability to learn additional software systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong customer service mindset with a problem-solving approach.
Education and Experience:
2-15 state insurance license
required (or ability to obtain within an agreed-upon timeframe).
5+ years of experience in employee benefits or related field.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to travel up to
20%
for client meetings.
