ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER - SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PAY RATE: $19.57 Hourly, Benefit Eligible The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men and women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. Provide customers with the best selection, exceptional service, and well-organized stores to support spiritual, social, and rehabilitation programs. Meet store sales and income budgets while managing expenses to maximize profitability. Create a positive and mentoring environment for Beneficiaries through collaboration with program staff. Implement positive Work Therapy Assignments and guide Beneficiaries to stay on track. Takes an active role with the Store Manager in day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing, POS operations, inventory management, and donations. Assume responsibility for day-to-day operations in the Store Manager’s absence (personnel and cash handling). Monitor and analyze KPIs to drive sales and profitability; assist with staffing, payroll, and attendance, and coordinate shift coverage as needed. Assist with hiring, training, and coaching; provide performance feedback and coordinate disciplinary actions as needed with appropriate stakeholders. Maintain high levels of customer and donor satisfaction and strengthen community relations. Support Back Room Processing to meet daily processing goals. Supervise Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place. Protect store currency, inventory, and property; manage cash deposits and security. Ensure safety measures are maintained and report incidents; participate in weekly store meetings and safety meetings. May transfer or be relocated to other stores based on business needs. Complete tasks as assigned by District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years retail management/supervisory experience (thrift preferred) Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Valid Driver's license, pass MVR, proof of insurance, access to a vehicle Pass background check (including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry) Effective communication with management, staff, customers, and donors Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist repeatedly Ability to grasp, push, pull items such as carts, racks, and equipment Lift up to 50 lbs Perform repetitive motion tasks Core Competencies

Stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules depend on management decisions; full-time staff may work evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure adequate coverage. Education
