This position is contingent upon contract award. Position Summary KBR is seeking experienced Acquisition Contracting Specialists with deep understanding of how DoD, Federal, and Air Force acquisition and contracting processes and lifecycles are executed. The role involves developing acquisition and contracting strategies for Space Systems Command (SSC) in El Segundo, CA, supporting the Government on the Hemisphere contract, participating in source selections, advising, and aiding in management of existing IDIQ contracts and acquisition strategies for follow-on efforts. The role also involves contract and subcontract management support, collaborating with Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists, and driving execution success of Hemisphere by navigating complex acquisition contracting processes and achieving programmatic goals. Key Responsibilities Apply deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD contracting protocols, including traditional acquisitions and modern, agile methodologies under the Adaptive Acquisition Framework Navigate and manage contracting actions such as change proposals, solicitations, funding modifications, and award/incentive fee management Manage event-based processing of contractual documentation throughout phases, milestones, and reviews for mission programs Proactive task prioritization and execution; work with team members with minimal supervision Exercise strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Proactive measures to mitigate problems, tasks, and challenges Support government contract RFPs, technical evaluations, negotiations, administration, and informed decision-making Provide contract guidance and determinations; advise on contractual rights and obligations, risk mitigation, strategy, and problem solving Interpret contract terms and ensure compliance with contractual obligations Ensure timely review and communication of contract modifications and notices to the business team Obtain requisite approvals prior to contract submission, ensuring regulatory compliance Demonstrate awareness of U.S. Space Force organizations and align with customer objectives Exemplify strong written and verbal communication and leadership to foster collaboration Required 3-10 years of practical DoD, Air Force, and SSC experience in contracts and subcontracts across the acquisition lifecycle Bachelor’s degree in related field (business administration, project management) Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility Desired Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) Prior Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO) or Buyer experience Compensation Basic:

$80,000 - $118,000 Additional:

Bonuses, commissions, or other compensation as per internal policy or contractual designation (sign-on, relocation, short/long-term incentives, discretionary payments).
