The Agribusiness Department in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA, is seeking a two-year, full-time, academic year Full Time Lecturer starting August 17, 2026. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities
Maintain and build on Cal Poly’s strong position within the California agricultural industry to train the next generation of agricultural leaders. Teach AGB214 - Agricultural Financial Accounting, AGB260 - Agricultural Data Literacy, and AGB323 - Agricultural Managerial Accounting. Supervise undergraduate senior projects and/or internships (as applicable). Qualifications
An earned Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or closely related field. CPA active status and in good standing. A minimum of 5 years working as an accountant or related position in industry. Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching, and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary settings. Ability to work effectively with teams and interact with peers, students, industry, government agencies, and the general public. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Preferred Qualifications
Productive teaching records and leadership experience; ability to teach multiple classes; collaboration with faculty across the College and University; experience with diverse populations and inclusive learning environments. Special Conditions
The position is subject to mandatory reporting under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and CSU policies. Background check required after conditional offer of employment; inability to satisfactorily complete background check may result in withdrawal of offer.
