About The Role
We are looking for an entry-level Operations Supervisor for the Filter Plant Slag Mill to oversee the activities of a single shift or a segment within the processing operations, spanning across all shifts or multiple areas.
This role is a great opportunity to progress your career into a leadership role in one of the world's leading mining operations. Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
overseeing operating employees and organizing equipment deployment to fulfill production and safety standards within the designated area
Coordinating and supervising daily production activities to ensure smooth operations.
Setting priorities for the team to achieve task completion and coordinates work activities with other supervisors and departments.
Addressing issues using established practices and precedents; decisions are influenced by policies, procedures, and the business plan.
Facilitating Lean and management system activities within the team or designated area.
What You Will Need For This Role
Safety Commitment: A dedicated commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience in a mining or industrial environment.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience and involvement within ore handling environment with mobile equipment
Leadership Skills: Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members
Communication and Organization: Effective communication and organizational skills.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Educational Background: Tertiary degree or Trade/Technical diploma in a relevant discipline would be considered an asset and a valid driver's license.
