Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to lead our operational strategy and execution. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to drive process improvement and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations across warehousing, inventory, fulfillment, and logistics.
Lead and develop site leaders and operations teams to consistently hit KPIs in safety, service, quality, and cost.
Develop and monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance and accountability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
Manage operational budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve EBITDA performance.
Build a culture of accountability, safety, and frontline engagement through active leadership and hands-on floor presence.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Finance, and HR to align operational execution with business goals.
Lead facility expansion, consolidation, or transformation projects as needed.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for operations.
Provide coaching, development, and mentoring of site leaders and employees.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in operations leadership, with increasing responsibility in distribution, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing.
Strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, operational budgets, and cost efficiency programs.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and improving operational performance.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and inventory control.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relations and effectively influence diverse groups at all levels within the organization.
Partners with VPO and Human Resources in ensuring an adequate workforce, to include teaching applicable leadership and customer service skills.
