Location: Home location determined upon assignment, within 40 miles from Newark, DE. Salary range listed above. Bench positions may operate across multiple locations within a designated region until a home location is assigned. Upon completion of the Manager in Training program, assignment will be to a temporary or permanent location based on business needs. Responsibilities
Lead Day-to-Day Operations across kitchen, service, and fulfillment channels (dine-in, pickup, delivery). Optimize labor deployment, throughput, and service execution to meet evolving business needs. Ensure adherence to labor, food safety, team member safety, and compliance standards. Monitor inventory accuracy, waste reduction, and product shelf life adherence. Forecast demand, resolve obstacles, and adjust workflows in real time to maintain readiness. Monitor customer feedback and operational trends to drive service excellence with data-informed decisions. Set and drive operational KPIs, ensuring alignment across internal and external contributors. Manage Team and Partner Performance Hire, onboard, coach, schedule, and develop a high-performing team of hourly employees and shift leaders. Lead a blended on-site workforce of internal employees and external partners (contracted or brand-affiliated staff). Foster a collaborative environment where Wonder and third-party teams operate seamlessly under one roof. Address performance issues with coaching and performance tools while ensuring compliance with labor laws. Drive Business Results & Own the P&L Take full ownership of the location’s P&L and use data to influence labor efficiency, food costs, and margins. Establish and track KPIs related to guest experience, order accuracy, throughput, and financial performance. Partner cross-functionally to identify cost-saving and revenue-driving opportunities. Build action plans using local performance insights and customer feedback. Grow the Business Own and drive company talent pipelines with a focus on succession planning. Develop trainers to support openings and onboarding of new hires. Mentor managers-in-training for potential transfers or leadership roles. Model company values and reinforce standards to promote growth. Anticipate future business needs and align staffing and development accordingly. Share feedback and pilot initiatives to drive company-wide improvements. Manage Partnerships & Represent the Wonder Brand Serve as on-site contact for brand partners, vendors, and contracted operators. Nurture relationships with local stakeholders to foster trust and consistency. Ensure brand adherence to Wonder’s service and quality standards for a flawless customer experience. Represent Wonder in local community and business interactions to grow reputation and customer base. Who you are
At least 3 years of experience leading high-volume, complex operations in logistics, field-based retail, hospitality, food, or eCommerce. Experience in fast-growing, operationally complex environments such as high-growth startups or multi-unit operations. Proven leadership with progressive growth and an ability to own KPIs and drive results. Proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Comfort with hybrid workforces across employees and contracted partners. Fluent in cross-functional collaboration across finance, HR, logistics, culinary, and partner organizations. Strong focus on customer service, quality, accountability, and results. Requirements
Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must have open availability, including nights and weekends. Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain). Qualifications and vetting criteria include Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) considerations and related data practices. Benefits
